Quick and easy Black pepper crab

- 500g soft shell crabs
- ½ tsp of turmeric
- ½ tsp of slat
- 2 cups of water
- Bring water to rolling boil. Add turmeric ,salt and crabs. Cook for 10 - 15 mts.
- 1 large onion chopped
- 3 garlic minced
- a small piece of ginger minced
- 1 tomato cubed
- 2 stems of curry leaves
- 2 table spoons of oil ( preferably coconut oil )
- ¼ tsp salt ( I'm using coarse sea salt )
- Dry powdered spices:
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- ½ tsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp coriander power
- 1 tsp meat masala powder
- 1 table spoon of crushed black pepper
- Heat oil in a pan and add ½ the black pepper, garlic, ginger and onion.
- Saute it till its soft.
- Add in the curry leaves.
- Lower the heat and add the dry spices and fry the spices till the pungent smell is gone.
- Add in the cooked crab, cover and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add the remaining crushed black pepper,tomatoes and take it off the heat and serve.
- It's best to serve immediately.
- Notes :
- Be carefull not to burn the powdered spices. If in doubt mix all the spices and add ½ cup of water and add to the pan.
