Kids love French fries but its deep fried.. This recipe uses only 2 tsp of oil and it’s as crispy as normal french fries.. in here I’ve twisted the traditional recipe to make it even more enjoyable..

preparation time: 10 mts

Grilling time: 15-20 mts

Serves : 1-4 🙂

Ingredients :

  • Potato – 2(medium)
  • Olive oil – 2 tsp
  • Chilli powder/ papprika ( if you want a bit more heat use 1/2 tsp cayenne )- 1 tsp
  • Garlic powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Cumin powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Salt – 1/2 tsp

Pre-heat the Oven @ 220 C and keep the tray in the which you’ll be using to grill the potatoes..Wash and peal the potatoes. You can use it without pealing.. Cut it length wise, try to cut as equal as possible.. Soak the cut potatoes in water for 10 mts to remove the extra starch.. take it out of the water and dab it with clean kitchen towel to remove the moisture..



Mix the spice mix to the ingredients..Spread the potatoes in the heated baking tray.


Grill for 15-20 mts turning in between.


  • To speed up the process you can cut and put the potatoes in hot water instead of plain water for 5 mts.
