A very simple and tasty breakfast for all. You can make it spicier by adding turmeric and chilli powder to this dish.

Ingredients:
- Red /White flattened rice – 1 cup
- Onion – 1 (small, chopped)
- Ginger chopped – 1 tsp
- Green chilli – 2
- Fresh grated coconut – 1/2 cup
- UdadĀ dal – 1/2 tsp (optional)
- Channa dal – 2 tsp (optional)
- Red dry chilli – 1 (tear in to small pieces)
- Curry leaves – 1 stem
- Oil – 2 tsp
- Water – 1/4 cup
- Salt – 1/4 tsp
Method:
- Take the flattened rice in a bowl and sprinkle some water and mix it. Keep it aside for 5 mts.
- After 5 mts sprinkle some more water and keep it aside.
- Keep a deep pan/wok on fire and when the pan is heated up add oil and both the dals.
- Fry the dal tillĀ its nutty.
- Add in the red dry chilli and curry leaves at this stage.
- Now you can add all the chopped ingredients and saute till its soft.
- Add the flattened rice, grated coconut and salt.
- Sprinkle some more water and cover the pan with a lid and cook for 2 minutes.
- Since the flattened rice is already cooked you can serve it once everything is combined.
- Check for the seasonings.
