This recipe is inspired by Peri-Peri chicken ! A no – go wrong recipe which is easy to prepare. Just have to mix all ingredients and marinate the chicken ahead of time and keep it in the fridge and grill it for 20 – 30 mts and its ready ! You can have this chicken with pulao or plain rice too.

Preparation time : 10 mts

Grilling time : ~ 30 mts

Ingredients :

  • 1 1/2 kg chicken with bone preferably cut into large pieces.
  • one handful of tyme leaves
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp meat masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp coarse black pepper powder
  • a pinch of turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 table spoon oil ( here I’ve used sunflower oil )

Method :

  • Mix all the above ingredients and if needed add 2 table spoons of water to help make a paste.
  • Marinate the chicken with the paste and set it aside for atleast an hour. Preferably keep it in the fridge.
  • When it’s time to grill grill in hot oven around 220 C for ~ 30 mts.
  • When one side is cooked turn so that other side can be cooked.

For the yogurt sauce all the ingredients except chicken and oil, of course, ! and in place add 2 table spoon of Greek yogurt / hung curd.
