A simple and soul stisfiying noodle preparation which can be prepared in ” 2 minutes “. Most of the Malayalee’s will be familier with this dressing, which you must have had with rice at some point of your life.  Even thought this dressing is not that popular now-a-days, this dressing can be enjoyed with noodles instead. A real nostalgic dish !

This dish can be served as a cold salad.

Ingredients for the dressing :

  • 5 small shallots
  • 3 green chillies
  • 1/4 tsp chilli powder ( adjust heat according to taste )
  • 1/2 tsp tamarind pulp / tamarind soaked in water
  • 3 table spoon coconut oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Other ingredients :

  • 1 packet instant noodles
  • coriander leaves for garnishing

Method :

  • Cook the noodles in 2 cups of water.
  • When the noodles are cooked, drain and wash it with water to remove excess starch and for not sticking to each other.
  • In a passel and mortar slightly crush all the ingredients for dressing and mix it with oil and salt.
  • In a serving bowl place the cooked noodles and pour the dressing over it and mix it well.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
